Last post, I told you about my mixcloud.com project (http://www.mixcloud.com/mizeyesis) to migrate some of my mixes over there. Thanks again for the support, there are a number of you that have managed to find me on mixcloud and follow. To date I have 42 mixes from 2005 to 2013. So again please if you are on mixcloud, add me yeah? :)

And before you ask, yes I still rock soundcloud (http://soundcloud.com/mizeyesis). That won't change. However, did you know I did two exclusive mixes in February & March? Both that have gotten excellent feedback. I'm starting to realize that social network sites like Facebook & Twitter, while allowing the access for promotion, really doesn't promote what we dj's & artists want. (2) When Afterlife asks you to open for
LTJ Bukem... You promptly say YES!!

Winter was fruitful. From my jungletrain show flourishing, to bookings with bands like I Anbassa, to playing many special events like the usual EDM, club, and rave events... I was truly thankful for all the shows I played. However, one in particular was the opportunity of a lifetime.

On March 23rd, Afterlife, CT's newest premiere afterhours club in New Haven hosted "Bukem in Session" featuring the legendary LTJ Bukem. I've been a fan of LTJ Bukem since 1997 as Good Looking Records had that jazzy soulful style which tugs my heart strings. I received a call from the wonderful promoters at Afterlife asking if I was available to play and you bet your sweet selves I said YES! lol...

LTJ Bukem did not just one set, but two sets, and in all honesty was one of the most humble & professional individuals I've ever had the pleasure of working with. All of us in Connecticut that attended this event stayed till the wee hours of the morning dancing our butts off. I opened for him during his first set, while Jeff Avery opened for his second set, and Tom B Ill shut the night down! For us all having been loyal DNB fans since the 90's and all of us in some way influenced by LTJ Bukem, this was a dream come true for us all. Even those who attended, to have an artist of this caliber in Connecticut, is a big deal.

And of course... I had to have my fan girl moment lol.... Its on my instagram

(3) Playing with the mighty Fractilians in the secret depths of Massachusetts

March 8th, I was invited by FractalTribe to partake in their event, Science & Spirituality held at a secret location in Massachusetts. It was an AMAZING night. And I was the only jungle/DNB dj on the bill, however all was well received!

As of early 2013 I have become a member of MIA (Murder in America) Drum & Bass. MIA DNB is the largest DNB collective in the US comprising of 60 members. Spearheaded by Alfonz De La Mota, its an honor and a privilege to be inducted into a group of dedicated junglists.

We are a collective of rogue junglist from all over the united states. The M.I.A. was founded in 2006 in Chicago with just over 10 members. Currently we are Americas Largest strictly drum n bass collective with over 60+ members all over the united states. M.I.A. drum n bass is an artist collective 1st with djs, mcs and producers but we are also a promotional crew and now we will release music through combat records. Look for our ep on beatport.
